While
visiting the vineyard, take a walk in the many tracks
of the nearby forests in spring, when the grey tones of
the Box and Ironbark forests burst into brilliant wild
display of orange, pink and purple wildflowers, yellow
wattles, indigenous peas and myriads of delicate orchids
and lilies. Alternatively,
arrange a tour through the forests guided by the Jaara
Jaara people and Dja Dja Wurrung traditional owners
to see ancient Aboriginal rock holes, stone grinding
grooves amongst the gold mining relics and learn about
the rich bio-diversity of the area.
Stop awhile and take time to listen to the sounds of
the birds. |
